Summary:
Maintain all electrical and electronic equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain, repair, lubricate electrical equipment, and fabricate basic parts for electrical equipment.
Duties: o Install, remove, inspect and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment o Work from electrical drawings and make electrical sketches of installed circuits o Keep work area clean o Work safely.
Correct and report unsafe conditions in work areas o Install, remove, maintain, inspect and lubricate parts and equipment o Perform electrical and electronic maintenance and repair as required o Ability to learn and operate mobile cranes, lift equipment and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner o This list of duties is not intended to be all inclusive, but illustrative only #GS #CL Education: High school diploma or equivalent Requirements/Qualifications: o 3-5 years as an electrical journeyman o Read, write, do mathematical calculations; speak English; ability to work from high places and in confined spaces o Must have minimum personal tools as described by department tool list (or be able to obtain within 30 days of start date) o Work is performed in a cement manufacturing plant or quarry which may include exposure to extreme changes in temperature and humidity, working near hazardous equipment or machinery, risk of electrical shock, walking on uneven ground, walking on slippery surfaces, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise o While performing duties of this job, employee is required to sit, stand, walk bend, twist, climb stairs and ladders, squat, kneel and balance; requires ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds; requires manual dexterity; requires upper extremity use with firm grip o Shift - must be flexible - rotating; may include overtime as needed o Demonstrated safety ethic, including the ability and willingness to adhere to the requirements of Arc Flash as defined by NFPA 70E o Basic troubleshooting ability; must be able to perform basic electrical diagnostic work unaided and without assistance o Prior electrical experience in industrial or mining setting Preferred: o Knowledge of the National Electrical Code o Basic computer proficiency o Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or other formal electrical training Conditions of Employment: Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check.
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
